Dr. William (Bill) Carruthers, CEO of GrantProse, Inc., will conduct this two-day training program. Dr. Carruthers is recently retired from the Wake County Public School System where he helped school staff receive greater than $60 million in federal, state, corporate and foundation grant funding. He is now happily keeping busy with developing his own grants line of business!
Grants that Bill participated in writing and winning include:
* Magnet Schools of America (federal)
* Safe Schools / Healthy Students (federal)
* Smaller Learning Communities (federal)
* Transition to Teaching (federal)
* Alternatives to Suspension (federal)
* Physical Education Program (federal)
* Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Project (federal)
* Elementary School Counseling Demonstration Project (federal)
* Emergency Response and Crisis Management (federal)
* Dropout Prevention (state)
* and More...
The two-day workshop is most suitable for individuals who have some experience with grant-writing and want to develop their skills further. Individals with little to no knowledge of grant-writing will benefit from the workshop but may feel challenged to keep pace. Individuals with beginning to intermediate experience with grant-writing will develop new skills, and individuals with advanced experience will be able to test their system for writing grants against a system that has proven effective with large and small grants from many different agencies.
Included in the workshop cost of registration is a CD with examples of winning grant proposals and numerous templates for making your work easier, as well as Bill's 110+ page guidebook: $how Me the Money! A Practical Guide to Grantwriting.

| Over the course of the two days, individuals will work in small groups on a variety of exercises to develop skills at stating your problem, identifying your needs, setting your goals, objectives and outcomes, creating your management plan, determining your evaluation plan, and forming your sustainability plan. Yes, grants do run out and you need to know what you will do when the grant funding ceases! |
